Why should I grow up?

Avengers The Movie Review

0 107

I should have done Avengers the movie review earlier, but I actually forgot until yesterday. I got the DVD 🙂 Wanted to get the Blu-Ray, but it is at the end of the month and I am a bit broke 🙁

Anyways …

Is there anything that can be said about the movie that hasn’t been said? Most of my friends who have been waiting for this movie, regardless of whether they have read the comics or not, enjoyed it to the last minute. It lives up to all the hype.

If you have been following the Thor, Captain America, Iron Man and Iron Man 2, and expected something bigger in The Avengers, you got it.

This is one awesome superhero movie, without a doubt. The action sequences are superb and spectacular. It has heroism all over, and humor is abundance. I like the way the Hulk smashed things up, but at the same time being really funny with his one-liners. The best part when he arrived on a scooter in the heat of the battle.

If Marvel is making any future Hulk movie or a reboot, I think they should stick with Mark Ruffalo. I like Ruffalo’s Hulk better.

There’s nothing new about Iron Man, Captain America, Thor or Black Widow if you have been following their movies before The Avengers. But the way Whesdon starts the team by getting them going against one another really gets the movie going and you will be amazed by the monstrous flying aircraft carrier that is the home base to S.H.I.E.L.D.

The only problem I have with the movie is agent Maria Hill. So used to her in How I Met Your Mother, it is a bit awkward. If you are a big fan of hers, you should know these:

avengers the movie Maria Hill

Her real name is Jacoba Francisca Maria Smulders. Voted Most Respected in high school. Wanted to pursue a career in marine biology. Married to comedian Taran Killam of Saturday Night Live. Joss Whedon’s choice to play Wonder Woman.

If you have been following the movies leading up to The Avengers, then just get the Avengers DVD or Blu-ray, but if you are new, get the completed set especially the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One – Avengers Assembled 10-Disc Limited Edition Six-Movie Collector’s Set which comes complete with a glowing Tesseract in an exclusive replica of Nick Fury’s iconic briefcase.
