So I lied. Earlier I said that I will not be changing the theme of this site soon. Somehow, I fell in love with Initiator from Colorlabs and decided to purchase it.

How About A New Theme For ComicsMyx

ComicsMyx has been using this wordpress theme for quite a while already, and I thought why not change it to a new one. It is about time to spice things up and a new theme would be just right. After searching through Google, and instead of looking for a new theme, I was going through some cool wordpress plugins.

There are many wordpress premium themes out there and there are also the free ones that are quite good, but I also found that there are some really great plugins that can really make your site look better. Yes, it can make your side looks better using the existing theme instead of changing it to a new one.

After hours of time spent to tweak your existing theme to the way you want it and just because you want to something different, you can actually use some plugins for it instead. Changing to a new theme is not bad, but I am sure that I would need to spent a lot of time again to tweak the new theme. Get me?

Take this slider plugin from SlideDeck as an example. It is not your ordinary Slider plugin. SlideDeck allows you organize your content into a beautiful slideshow and you can not only navigate from left to right like the ordinary slider, but you can also navigate from top to bottom.

So, how about a new theme for ComicsMyx? I think not at this moment but you will be seeing some changes to the site soon.

Stan Lee to Receive VES(Visual Effects Society) Lifetime Achievement Award

Stan Lee is a man famous for many things. He is known as the creator of Marvle’s Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, The Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Daredevil, The Avengers, Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange and many others. Recently on the Guardian Project and pr course, lately, his frequent cameo appearances on most Marvel movies.

Now, Stan Lee has been selected by the Visual Effects Society’s board of directors as the 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Lee will be honored at the 10th Annual VES Awards to be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on February 7, 2012.

Previous recipients include George Lucas, Robert Zemeckis, Dennis Muren, Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy & Frank Marshall, James Cameron, and Ray Harryhausen.
