Iron Man, Movie Trailer & The New Avengers

Last year’s most anticipated movie (for me) was non other than Transformers. I am a comic collector, especially from Marvel and DC, and when there’s an adaptation I will try not to miss. My wife on the other hand, doesn’t like anything related to comics. She was reluctant at first when I asked her to watch Transformers with me, but after a date with her, the next trip with the kids, she tagged along. She even bought the DVDs 
.
Now that Iron Man will be out in May, my eldest son has already made an appointment to watch it with me, and after seeing the teasers and trailers, I think this movie is going to be a great one. After Transformers, I’m sure she will tag along again.
Read about the movie here. Since it is not out yet, I can’t actually do a review , but i have one wish though. If they are planning for Iron Man 2, I’m looking forward to see the New Avengers, the team (like X-Men and Fantastic Four) Iron Man is attached too. It will be fun and I would finally be able to watch all my superheroes in a movie. Talk about a dream come true. Anyway, New Avengers? That’s only a part of Iron Man, be prepared to hear about S.H.I.E.L.D and maybe, Scarlet Witch as well. I still buy comics, but not as often as last time. After the Marvel Civil War series, a lot has change. Not only there’s a lot of titles but with crossovers and mini series, being a father and a working adult, it’s a bit difficult to keep up. I am only following certain titles now.
Things About Me That You Didn’t Know Actually, I am answering a tag from Fahmishah. And you just read about the first one that is myself being a comic collector . Others include :
- My old IC has only 3 numbers – 2, 5 and 3, and there are 5 2s.
- I drink coffee at the office but prefer tea at home, chrysanthemum tea to be exact.
- My father competed in the Olympics, representing Malaysian in the 4 X 100m relay team, but I am not interested in athletics at all.
- When I complained to my dad that my daughter’s milk is very expensive, he told me that they fed me S26.
- I can drive since form 5 but only took my driving license at the age of 24.
I think, instead of 8, I just do 6 and I am tagging topo, as promised, and also due to the Iron Man trailer I got from his blog and the person who made it to my top commentators list last month, East43Street.
Anyone else interested? For the record, I read/collect US comics, but I don’t like Manga, however I love anime very much.

Fahmishah & Bent – yes, it’s one of the must see movie.
Am, dah boleh start optimizing post related to it. it will be a big hit and when it comes to traffic, no one want to miss the boat.

3) It is sad that none of us followed dad’s running and made the country proud. (although adik was really into cricket games)

5) You got at 24, I got at 21 after I came back from Aussie, kakteh had to wait until she got back from UK at age 26, but adik got it right after SPM, and he got his car at UNI!!! Kita semua kena naik bus. So much fun and pamper given to the youngest one. Cek tak pueh hati lah… Even dia dah kawen pun, mama suka buat statement : kesian adik tu, dia mana reti… bla… bla… bla..

best sangat ke ironman ni eh? cam biasa2 adjer. hehe
to tell the truth, i used to be skeptical when it comes to comic-to-film adaptations.. sbb most of the attempts came short of my expectations.. but after watching transformers last year (tengok lambat sbb tunggu review org.. hehe..), i think i should give more attention to this type of movies in the future.. at least for entertainment (rather than authenticity) sake..

together with Krishnan & Rajalingam i presume.. must be very proud being children of an Olympian.. i mean, how many of our countrymen had a chance to compete in the Olympics, what more in athletics.. cool!

Most of the time, trailler make the movie looks great. But once you watch, you feel that trailer is over aggravatingly the whole story
Iron Man was practically flawless as a super hero flick; it drops pretty obvious hints that would indicate a sequel as well… i’m thinking the next one should be equally great

Most did. You are right on that So’od. I think the reason ..mungkin .. sebab they are trying to put everything into a 2 hours movie. Take X-Men for instance, I have been reading that since primary school, it will be difficult to explain everything in 2 hours.

Yes, I remember that. You were very active at Uni. I think we all did. And it was good that we actually had a good young/teenage life, it helps us to become who we are now.

it does exist especially the earlier batch. my son (9 tahun) with my cousin (19 tahun) .. both dilahirkan di selagor but hv different numbers.

yes, our dad was in the same team as Dr Jega, Krishnan, and Rajalingam.
(ayong : you’ve met krishnan & rajalinggam way back then when we were still kids. Ada sekali sukan apa entah, babah lari bawak obor with these 2 guys kat stadium merdeka, ingat tak, half way lari, obor tu padam? time tu kita sekolah rendah lagi)
Our dad was the first runner, then either Mr K or Mr R, followed by Dr Jega. He went to the Mexico Olympic in 1966 if I’m not mistaken. But they were beaten out in 2nd stage.
I think when they are going back to Seremban for good, we should ask mom to make a space to display back his medals. (Dad got lots of GOLD medals in SEA games, Asian Games, etc-etc). At least as momento for him, and for anak cucu to remind themselves anything is possible if you work hard for your dream. I will talk about it secretly with mom, they are going back to Seremban next weekend to get quotation on house renovation.

regarding the milk, ntah la … i always pray that my children won’t end up being poor.
based on the short trailer, there seems to be a lot of action in it .. i hope it lives up to expectations

Yes, I saw it and I hope that they will bring the sequel soon. I read about Marvel’s plan to introduce Thor in the 2nd movie before actually coming out with a Thor movie. Since Marvel Studios is already taking charge of things, more crossovers are expected.
