Wolverine has everything that you would expect from a blockbuster action movie. Explosions, cool fighting sequence, brotherhood, romance (no sex though), betrayal and many more. It tells the story of Logan’s violent past and his complex relationship with Victor Creed. However, after watching Iron Man and then The Dark Knight, I expected more from Wolverine, but no. The previous comic character films (Watchmen included) have actually set the level quite high. This one didn’t measure up.

Can’t actually describe which part, it just didn’t measure up, but I still enjoyed the movie though. Main reason is because throughout my childhood I was waiting to watch comic book superheroes in films. During those days, the best you can get is cartoons.

The movie starts with a particular incident in Wolverine’s childhood that triggers a violent where he killed his father. Then it continues to show (briefly) Wolverine and Sabretooth involvement in every singel American conflict. Like the Highlander, only without the song ‘Who Wants To Live Forever’

Anyway, between the above and my end below, is the best part. I will not touch about it here. If you missed Wolverine, then you have to wait for the official original DVD to be out.

At the end of the film, Wolverine is shot in the head with an adamantium bullet. Lost his memory and has no idea what has happened. Not a good ending, but it does maintain the link to X-Men the movie. However, having Professor X in the movie makes me wonder. How can a powerful person like him can’t detect that Wolverine lost his memory, is still alive and needs help? Another funny thing is, Sabretooth is shorter, lesser hair and Wolverine looks older than in the X-Men movie.

Anyway, it is a must see for any Wolverine, X-Men, Avengers, Marvel or comics fans.
