But if you stare at it longer, it is supposed to be a D being peeled off and you get the C. But it is supposed to be DC, not changing from D to C?

I don’t like the new DC Comics logo. To me, it is just horrible, but if they decide to stick to it, then it will take a while for me to get use to it.

What do you think?

DC Comics has granted exclusive digital rights to 100 of its most popular graphic novels to Amazon for exclusive use through the online bookseller’s new Kindle Fire tablet. Which means, if you are looking for the digital versions of your favorite superhero comics such as Superman, Batman or Green Lantern, you can only buy at Amazon and nowhere else.

DC Comics superhero series would only be compatible with the Kindle readers and devices that support the Kindle apps.

Barnes & Noble responded to the Amazon-DC Comics exclusive deal by removing all physical copies of the comics from the shelves in all its brick and mortar locations. According to Jaime Carey, Barnes & Noble’s chief merchandising officer, “Barnes & Noble will not stock physical books in our stores if we are not offered the available digital format. To sell and promote the physical book in our store showrooms and not have the e-book available for sale would undermine our promise to Barnes & Noble customers to make available any book, anywhere, any time.”

However, B&N will still be offering the disputed books online and customers can special order them from stores.

If you are one of those who were reluctant to buy DC universe online when it first came out, I think you should re-think about your decision again. Next month, DC Universe Online goes free to play.

DC Universe will offer 3 levels of membership.

Legendary Access
Legendary Access requires the purchase of a recurring monthly game pass (subscription) ($14.99/month) or the SOE All Access pass (subscription) ($19.99/month). At the time the game transitions to free-to-play, all existing DCUO accounts with active paid subscriptions will be granted Legendary Access. Legendary Access will also be granted to any player that activates a 30-day free subscription associated with a purchased copy of the DCUO base game software. Legendary Access will automatically convert to Premium Access at the end of the subscription period if it is not renewed. Additional items and features (e.g., in-game marketplace items and additional inventory slots) are not included and must be purchased separately.

Premium Access
At the time the game is transitioned to free-to-play, all existing DCUO accounts with inactive subscriptions will be granted Premium Access. After the game is transitioned to free-to-play, Premium Access will be granted to any player that spends at least U.S. $5.00 (or the foreign equivalent) or 500 Station Cash on items in the DCUO in-game marketplace, or that purchases a DCUO DLC Pack. Premium Access does not expire.

Free Access
Provides basic access to the game with limited content and features. DLC Packs and other items and features are not included and must be purchased separately.

It should not be a problem if you opt for the free access. You will have access to all of the current DC Universe Online gameplay, including Gotham City, Metropolis and all of the current raids and alerts. Free players will be able to create two characters, join a League and purchase upgrades such as new adventures, additional character slots and powers as they wish. that should be enough to keep you busy for a few weeks.

If you have not purchased, go get one …
