Norman Osborn, the green goblin, the leader of the Thunderbolts, made the kill-shot and took out the Skrull Queen.

In the aftermath, Tony Stark took all the blame for the invasion and was stripped of his roles as leaders of the Avengers and the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Norman Osborn was appointed to replace Stark.The Dark Avengers #1 is all about Norman Osborn’s New Avengers, or should we say the Dark Avengers.

The first issue is how he approaches Moonstone (Karla Sofen) while she is meditating to take over as Ms Marvel. He also introduced the name H.A.M.M.E.R. as the replacement for S.H.I.E.L.D., but just the name, no details about it on the first issue. He gave Venom something to eat that makes him ‘normal’ and Venom takes over The Amazing Spider-Man. Daken Akihiro takes his father’s place as Wolverine, Bullseye as Hakweye. Marvel Boy is Captain Marvel. Ares, the God of War, and the Sentry is still around.

Deodato’s artwork is solid, you can see that although the Dark Avengers are wearing heroes costumes, they are not heroes. I am currently subscribing the New Avengers and the Mighty Avengers, this one looks cool too, but I’m not sure whether I should spend more money on comics
