Although I have decided to only stick to The New Avengers and The Avengers, due to work and time constraint, but after going through the All-New Wolverine Saga, I decided to add Uncanny X-Force to my order list at the Mind Shop.

This free publication from Marvel gives you background on Wolverine, his son Daken, his clone X-23, and his team X-Force since the events of M-Day. When M-Day happened, most mutants lost their powers and Wolverine regained his memories, setting him on a collision course with his son, and with the man who had manipulated his entire life – Romulus. The All-New Wolverine Saga tells that story and sets the stage for Wolverine’s new adventures. This is the perfect way to catch up on Wolverine and the major players in his life before the launch of 4 new titles.

The 4 new titles in the Wolverine family are

Wolverine #1

Uncanny X-Force #1

X-23 #1 and

Daken: Dark Wolverine #1.

This limited series deserves to be in your collection. You know what to expect from Del’Otto. His art is always with dark backgrounds. If you enjoy comics with lots of blood, then this is the one. Gabrielle Del’Otto’s art is just brilliant. Just that the story is not as good.

Before we start with Avengers #2, take a look at this page.

Adamantium is supposed to be able to cut steel like butter, so what the hell is Wolverine doing with Spider-Woman’s hair. Did John Romita Jr. forget about that when he was drawing it? You can also see that Spider-Woman shooting back at him. Anything going on here?

And the pizza slices are quite big

Again, Brian Michael Bendis and John Romita Jr. proves to be an excellent pair … if you are just going through Avengers #2 just by looking at pictures and ignoring the weird dialogs. If you really want to enjoy this. First, go through the graphics and try to understand the story and then only read the dialogs.

In the last issue, Kang appears before the Avengers and warns them about the future and we also saw Hulk as the architect of Kang’s action. In this issue, the team got the help from Noh-Var, Marvel Boy, to make a time machine.

After successfully building the time machine, they are able to see a glimpse of the future. Then something went wrong – the time stream is broken. Suddenly Wonder man attacks the Avengers, then suddenly he’s gone and out came the Apocalypse and his four horsemen.

After just two issues, if it is going to continue like this … then I will have a problem to have so many things at once. Bendis should slow himself a bit. And in Avengers #1, I thought that Maria Hill is running the team, but seems like Tony Stark is calling all the shots and everyone is following … hmmm…

Writer: Brian Michael Bendis
Artist: John Romita Jr.
Inker: Klaus Janson
Colorist: Dean White
