Comic Collectors Are Making Millions

Last month we saw that 2 comic titles making more than $2M in auctions. Earlier it was Action Comics No. 1, which features the first appearance of Superman, sold online for a record-breaking $1m. The 1938 edition of Action Comics No. 1 with cover showing superhero lifting car sets record for comic book sale. The issue has a cover featuring Superman lifting a car and it originally cost 10 cents.

2009 – Game Of The Year

The nominees for Spike Video Game Awards 2009, Game of the Year includes:

Assassin’s Creed 2
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Left 4 Dead 2
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

For the first time ever, you can help to decide who wins. For game of the year, I voted for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 even though I have not played it yet. Voted based on the games trailer … Ha!

Batman: Arkham Asylum is developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Eidos Interactive. It’s a dark, action adventure game developed for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. None for PS2 or PSP (I owned both) which makes me want to upgrade to PS3 now. I do have a PC, powered by AMD Athlon X2 with 4GB of RAM and graphic card that comes with 1GB of RAM. Any comics fan, regardless whether you are from Marvel or DC, should not miss this movie. This is how a Batman movie should have been made at the first place. Complex, dark and believable. A brilliant one from Christoper Nolan. An outstanding performance from the late Heath Ledger, and Christian Bale once again proved that he is made for the Dark Knight. I wasn’t surprised it broke the box office record.
Saw it last week on opening night … alone … biasalah bila kerja outstation.
